Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa lends helping hand post-Hurricane Irma

RIVIERIA BEACH, SINGER ISLAND, Fla. – Sept. 27, 2017 – With recovery from the devastating effects of Hurricane Irma underway in the Florida Keys, all hands are on deck to provide relief for those displaced by the storm. Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa has enlisted its staff and guests to donate to relief efforts with a variety of promotions and events on the dining and meeting fronts.

The resort and its Executive Chef Gustavo Calderon will join South Florida chefs in a Chefs for the Keys two-day fundraiser, organized by Chef Adam Brown of The Cooper in Palm Beach Gardens, along with En-Flux private chef Troy Sheller, to help food and beverage hospitality employees who are out of work.

  • From Oct. 1 through Oct. 5, 10 percent of revenue earned from breakfast, lunch and dinner sales at the resort’s signature restaurant 3800 Ocean will be donated to the cause. Diners are encouraged to come out to support their local community.
  • On Oct. 6, a Chefs for the Keys event will be held at the Riviera Beach Marina Village from 7-10 p.m. and will include food from the area’s top chefs, an open bar, live entertainment and a silent auction. Tickets are $125 and can be purchased at seventastings.com/chefs-for-the-keys. All proceeds will benefit the food and beverage hospitality workers in the Florida Keys who are out of work due to the storm. The money is being donated to the Islamorada Beer Company team, founders of the Florida Keys Fund/Gotta Love Them Fund, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, to make sure all proceeds are distributed to those individuals.

Marriott Singer Island, home to 3,600-square-feet of newly renovated meeting space, has partnered with the Palm Beach County Food Bank to provide food to those impacted by the hurricane.

  • Meeting planners who book a meeting taking place now through Nov. 17 can opt to donate five percent of the master bill to the Palm Beach County Food Bank. Groups must be contracted through the sales department and opt-in at the time of contracting. Interested parties can contact the sales department at (561) 340-1720.

For more information or to reserve a stay, book online or call 561-340-1720.
